Job Description

Dollar General is recruiting Class A Freight Transport Drivers for positions near Trinidad. This role focuses on safe and timely transport of goods using Class A vehicles for regional and long-haul routes.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, ensuring vehicle safety, and accurate reporting of deliveries.

Main responsibilities for Class A freight transport

  • Operate Class A trucks safely and efficiently
  • Deliver freight on scheduled routes
  • Maintain logs of deliveries and mileage
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Coordinate with dispatch and retail stores
  • Follow DOT and company safety protocols
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight

Required qualifications and skills

  • CDL-A license required
  • Experience in freight transport
  • Strong time management and navigation skills
  • Ability to lift and carry freight safely
  • Good communication and coordination skills
